How would I show appreciation for a veteran killed in service?


Grafton WV National Cemetary

1- Access class BLOG

2- Visit each web site provided

3- Research web sites provided and select a person

4- Write a letter of appreciation to the family of the deceased serviceman—write on WORD and paste-- ( minimum 4 paragraphs)

5- Post letter to comments

6- Respond to pre-selected peer as you would imagine a family member of a hero who gave their all might do so

    I’am doing Adam white,
    Corporal Adam White was one of four men who earned the Medal of Honor in an engagement with Confederate forces at Hatcher's Run, Virginia, on April 2, 1865. In that action Corporal White was cited for his capture of a battle flag of the Confederate Army. Born: December 21, 1823 at Switzerland
    Entered Service in the US Army from Parkersburg, WV
    Earned The Medal of Honor During the Civil War For heroism April 02, 1865 at Hatcher's Run, VA
    Died: May 19, 1895 at the age of 71

  2. To the parents of James Adams:
    Thank you for letting your son go out to war. We really appreicate it. I know it may be hard to lose a son but I hope your still hanging strong. You did the right thing by letting him fight . My uncle was in the war. Although I still have my uncle, I don’t have some of my other family members that I didn’t know. You should be very proud of your son. He did what a lot of men don’t have the guts to do. As my uncle always said “ If you don’t respact a soldier try being in their shoes and step in frint of the croud.” I wish you guys the best of luck.

    Dear, Talbert family I am truly sorry for your lost. He seems like he would have been a great man. We should all honor are soljers and people who risk their own life’s for us. But he is in a better place know and always know deep in your heart he died for a good reason and just wanted to help people out I know it is probly hard but all he did was try to save are country and he is always recognized.

Dear , Mr. Jones im sorry for your loss we really appreciate what he had done for us were ver y thankful of it.He was a big hero and im sorry for reminding you of it but I just wanted to say what a good guy I thought he was and that im very sorry for what you had to go through and what you had loss we all lost something and we all lost a hero.

    Taking over our country and helping our soilders as they are away from their families as well as you are.
    I enjoy talking about the war in mr Garvin’s class and I truly apperciate you for leaving your family and whom ever and leaving your life behind to protect our lives. Thanks again ………

I juss wanna say thank you for helping us and died for us we really appreciate it and wanna say thank you joseph kimball he had Sixty Medals of Honor were awarded for actions at Deatonsville Sailor's Creek Virginia, during the period March 29 to April 6, 1865. Fifty-seven awards were presented for actions on April 6 alone, forty-seven of them for the capture of flags of the Confederate Army. On that day Private Joseph Kimball received the Medal of Honor for his capture of the battle flag of 6th North Carolina Infantry so thank you joseph.♥♥♥

    I am sorry of your son. He was a excellent preson & a excellent friend to be around. He help alot with my sister. He has helped a lot with me & my sister. I just hope that you guys are okay that you are going to do good in life.
