ReplyDeleteWe test to see how well we’ve done since our last West Test. Also the teachers learn our learning style and this can help provide them the information they need. It tests you on how concerned you are about going to school. There are a lot of reasons why we test.
We test in Math, English, Writing, Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies.
We test to see the knowledge and things from people in school. It is great for accessing student learning. We take the West Test because the state wants to how well we retain information and to se what all we know. They also want to see how well the teachers are teaching the materials to the students. If we score well on the test it makes the school that we are attending look well. We test to see if the students are paying attention in class. We test also in basic education. We test in the four core subjects of Math, Science, Reading, and Writing.
We test the students and the teachers. The reason that we test the teachers is because partly if a kid does not know the material then it might just be because the teachers aren’t teaching us well enough.
The test affects all of the kids that take it. It shows how well that student has learned. It also affects the school. If the kids aren’t doing well enough then the states make the teachers teach certain stuff then it gets boring and the kids drop out of class.

ReplyDeleteTeachers West Test because is a standards-based test, which means it measures specific skills defined for each grade by the state of West Virginia. Plus it is the law. We also need to get high scores each time so that we can move on from grade to grade and maybe even if students are up to it, go to college. =)
You Test Students.
You test us in reading, science, math, and social studies. Sometimes writing and English.

1. Why we do this? The goal is for all students to score at or above the proficient level on the test.
ReplyDelete2. What we test? Thje WESTEST 2 is a standards-based test, which means it measures specific skills defined for each grade by the State of West Virginia.
3. Who do we test? In 2009-2010 West Virginia used the West Virginia Educational Standards Test 2 (WESTEST 2) to test students in grades 3 through 8 and 10 in reading, math and grades 3 thorugh 8 in social studies.

West Virginia does the westest because they get a picture of ways that the teachers can teach us and what they need to teach s. It also tells the school officials if a person is doing better in a subject and what they have learned through the school year.
ReplyDeleteThe westest tests in the following subjects: Reading, social studies, science, and math. They test all grades in these three subjects. They also do writing and language.
The westest test kids from the age of the 3rd grade to the 11th grade.

They have a good teaching program in the state of williamson

We test math.We test science. We test english.kids test social studies. Kids test writing. That is what we test. Our test score is like average one is low but the rest is right.The reason why we do this is because so the teachers can help us better and learn more that we would need more help on in school.We test mostly everything. But the reason why the state does this is because they care about our grades and our education.

ReplyDeleteI believe that Parkersburg High School has a variety of good teachers,and also teaching techniques. Children from 4th grade to 11th grade take the test and do fairly well on it.
I believe this test helps determine the capability of each individual. The test is a good thing for the state I strongly believe.

ReplyDeleteI think teachers do the west test, so we can have higher standers then what we have. If you know you can pass a class. DO IT!! Try your best on anything that you can. We also take the west test to see if were smart or not. You have to have high standerds for yourself. Im like that and not afraid to show it. It makes me mad when I get a C,D, or F in the classes that I know the best. Like english, reading,social studies(sometimes). Same with science and math. I set myself to be more smarter then that.
We test English,Math, Science, Reading/Language Arts/ and Social Arts. For me I personally like everything except for math, sciene, and social studies. When I was out of here, I got F’s in math science every class. So, that’s why im trying to get my graes back up. This school is much better then my old school. I think it’s of the teachers and extra help. You don’t get that at other schools.
I think we test so we can learn more and get smarter. Also, whe you go to high school, middle school, or where ever you might see it again. It can also help you out with stuff that you don’t know.
